Gift wrapped

It was a flimsy towel
He was wrapped in
Working, unaware of the effect
It was having on me

His lithe body radiant
In the golden heat
Droplets glistening
As he flexed his muscles
Mesmeric was the effect

The gift wrapped beneath
Threatening to unravel
Every second
I watched him
With pulsating breath

My thirst drifted to the tiny dot
Cradled in-between his layer of power
Seemed to taunting me
Galore

The breeze assailed my senses
When it carried his virile fragrance
I assimilated his essence
Even from a distance

His kada tingled somewhere
I opened my eyes
And found the chimes jingling

Was he just a mirage
Or my ensuing reality
How I wish to unwrap
His swelling pride
Someday.

“The wrapping is unable to keep the ‘gift’ in wraps as the poetess has made the ‘gift’ swell in pride”
