Diamonds forever

What do these drops say
Are they the labours of love or pain.
Do they define me or I define them.

Bedecked in these diamonds I have graduated phases.
Sometimes in the glory of youth
Sometimes in heartbreak.
At times in the grandeur of success,
Some times succumbing to the vagaries.
They have been with me as my natural ornaments.

Beautifying me when I engaged in amorous dalliances.
Bathing me in the smell of musk
These diamonds are incandescent.

Trickling from my eyes, glistening my body
When I heard the birth of life.
These diamonds are my rarest treasures
Diamonds of tears and sweat.
