And they finally met
In a social backdrop
It was months since they had been interacting
But, the chats were never ending
Friends, she stressed
Love, he pursued
Pleasantries were exchanged
Conversation, diversified
Then she lost track
To what he was blabbering
He talks too much, she thought
Why can't he just sit quietly
And submerge
In the nature's abundance
It was drizzling
Finally, she got up
Dragged him across the table
And kissed him
It was an intense probing kiss
He was startled
What a daring woman, he thought
And tried to gently push her away
But, she was relentless
When she was done
She wiped her lips
And peered into his eyes
He was blank
You should have realized, I don't talk much, she said
I am comfortable in my solitary existence
That's my space
And you are trying to intrude
With your theatrical love
Which I cannot relate
For me, love is the silence between two souls
A wordless binding
An aura, where you just be yourself
Free, without being avaricious for each other's presence
I like it that ways
You must be wondering, why did I kiss you
If you aren't my types
I simply bestowed the flavour of my being
For you to realize
You cannot put a veil on your desires
In the name of love
She paid the bill
And walked away.
