The Door

The door was closed
Yet, I nudged it few inches
Without knowing where it will lead to

I walked in calmly
Apprehending turbulent it will be
You were courteous to my entry
Yet you evaded my curiosity

Days graduated to months
I slowly but steadily unravelled your enigmatic sensuality
You weren't so difficult after all

The more I came closer you
Love became my defining fervor
You deny
Still I have pursued endlessly

I know
I already sense
You are in love with me
Even if you don't convey
Your reassuring presence
Speaks volumes

I have been waiting for years
Never assumed you will pervade my gnawing voidness
Now that you have opened the door for me
I will preserve you
As my rarest treasure

For now, not forever
For our present
Will illustrate our future.
