She was the lone passenger in my coupe
Draped in marital finery
Her head covered with pallu
She sat by the window
I could sense her discomfort with my presence
For she kept pulling her pallu to hide herself
The only thing I could see was her feet
Beautified with alata, toe ring and anklets
Such a mesmerizing sight it was
I kept staring at her feet
They had a life of their own
If she knew I was gazing at her feet
She didn't hide them
Rather she played along
Ryhming her anklets
Twilight breathed into our cell
But none made efforts to switch on the light
It was as if we both wanted to be enveloped in darkness
Was it her feet that brushed against mine
For a second I couldn't register
But when it occured again
I got the encrypted message
I moved over to her seat
And in that abysmal darkness
I felt her
Every caress of mine, made her restless
As I penetrated her virginal flesh
Her gasping cries got drowned
In the train's speeding rage
When I woke to the silence of dawn
She had left
Leaving her anklet on the scattered sheets.
