Sometime she used to avoid me

Coz of the conflicts with her boyfriend

She had already gone through a messy divorce

And then got embroiled in an abusive relationship

One after another

She was a shattered spirit

But she channelized her energy in teaching salsa

And that's where I met her

As my trainer

Even if it sounds cliched

But the first time we met

Our eyes whispered an unknown dialect

Partners change during performance

But she ensured she gets to dance only with me

In a wordless binding we danced together

Two broken souls

I was trying to recover from my breakup

And she from her insecure boyfriend

There were days when she kept away from me

Maybe she wanted to heal in solitude

And that used to affect me

Even if I was aware where I stood

I missed her tremendously

For somewhere the fragments of me

Synchronised with the fragments in her

We didn't have any definition to our bonding

Even if we were broken

We nourished each other's existence.
